Article 1
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website or use an application. It allows the site or application to remember certain information about your browsing for a defined period.
Similar technologies include browser local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) and session identifiers, which serve comparable purposes.
Article 2
Cookies used by KolyMe
To date, the KolyMe Platform uses only strictly necessary or functional cookies. We use no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies.
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies (exempt from prior consent)
These cookies are essential to the operation of the Platform and cannot be disabled without making the service unusable. They cover the following purposes:
- authentication and maintenance of your session for the lifetime of your token;
- storage of your chosen display language, for a maximum duration of twelve (12) months.
2.2 Functional cookies (exempt from prior consent)
These cookies improve your experience without tracking your browsing outside the Platform. They cover the following purposes:
- storage of your display preferences (light or dark theme), for a maximum duration of twelve (12) months;
- storage of your time zone for accurate display of dates and times, for a maximum duration of twelve (12) months.
2.3 Analytics cookies: none are placed.
2.4 Advertising or profiling cookies: none are placed. Your data is never sold, rented or shared with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.
Article 3
Managing your preferences
3.1 Cookies currently placed
The cookies currently used all fall within the "strictly necessary" or "functional" categories, exempt from prior consent under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
3.2 Future changes
If KolyMe later introduces analytics cookies, third-party features or personalisation cookies that require your consent, a consent banner will let you accept or refuse these cookies, purpose by purpose, before any placement.
3.3 Browser settings
You can at any time delete the cookies stored on your device or block their placement via your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings > Privacy
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Platform from functioning properly.
Article 4
Third-party cookies
To date, KolyMe does not place any third-party cookies on your device.
If you use the authentication options via Google, Facebook or Apple, these providers may place their own cookies on their respective domains during the redirect. These cookies are governed by each provider's privacy policy:
- Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Facebook / Meta: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php
- Apple: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Article 5
Cookie retention period
In line with CNIL guidance, the maximum lifetime of cookies placed by KolyMe does not exceed thirteen (13) months. On expiry, your consent (where applicable) must be renewed.
Article 6
